Arguing With Team America On Reddit



On Reddit somebody said:

Every political ideology endorses violence at some point. Even pacifism needs enforcement from something. Ask him if he thinks that invading Germany in WWII was wrong, because we shouldn't kill for our ideals.

So I asked:

America declared war on Axis cuz ideals?

They countered:

Definitely not, but I don't think a lot of things America had done are morally justified. I think that this one is morally justified because, well y'know... It's literally Hitler.

So I said:

And not Stalin or the Khmer Rouge?

Exaggerating and making up stories about Hitler eventually taught us that the Turks didn't commit genocide and weren't slavers, and that America used to belong to Indians who all spoke the same language and were peaceful, gay positive, environmentalists.
